Mitchell “Mitch” Hoppe

Mitch Hoppe, president and CEO of Melrose Metal Products Inc. of Fremont, Calif., is a member of SMACNA’s Board of Directors, serving a four-year term through October 2009. He is the chairman of the Industrial Contractors Council Steering Committee and a member of the Products & Programs Coordinating Committee.

His previous work for SMACNA includes chairman of the Welding Task Force and membership on the NEMI/NEMIC Welding Fume Removal Task Force, the Rectangular Industrial Duct Construction Task Force, the Round Industrial Duct Construction Task Force and the Technical Resources Committee.

Mr. Hoppe is a member of the Bay Area SMACNA chapter where he has served on the Board of Directors since 1999 and as a trustee of the Bay Area SMACNA Industry Fund since 2002. Previously, he was the president and director of the former Greater Oakland SMACNA Chapter.
