Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith, of Smith Heating and Air Conditioning Inc., Stockton, Calif., was elected to the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association’s (SMACNA) Board of Directors. His one year term began Oct. 24 at the close of SMACNA’s 64th annual convention.
Smith is currently a member of the SMACNA/SMWIA Best Practices Market Expansion, the SMACNA/SMWIA Residential Service/Add-On Subcommittee and the Convention Committee. His previous service history for SMACNA includes chairman of the HVAC Contractors Council Steering Committee and the Blue Book Sheet Metal and HVAC Equipment Task Force. He also was a member of the Director Nominating Committee and the Products and Programs Coordinating Committee.
Smith is a member of the SMACNA-Northern San Joaquin Valley Chapter where he previously served as chapter president. He is also a member of the California SMACNA Board of Directors. In addition, he is a member of the Sheet Metal Advisory Council and Joint Apprenticeship Committee of San Joaquin County and a Local Industry Fund Trustee.
