Tony Adolfs
Tony Adolfs joined SMACNA Chicago in 1991, as assistant to the Executive Director (and safety coordinator). Tony made the transition to Executive Director in 1996, assuming the additional role as Executive Director of NISMACNA (Northern Illinois SMACNA) in 2006. Combined, SMACNA Chicago and NISMACNA represent over 400 union sheet metal contractors around greater Chicago.
Tony serves as Chairman of AHEAD, a coalition of construction-related associations in the Chicagoland area dedicated to promoting the legislative interests of the union construction industry. He is also Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the Mechanical Specialty Contracting Association, and sits on the Illinois Mechanical Specialties Contractors' Association Board of Directors. On the national level, Tony is currently a member of the SMACNA/SMWIA Best Practices Market Expansion Task and the Convention Committee. His previous service to SMACNA includes Chairman of the Council of Chapter Representatives and appointments to a number of national committees and task forces.
