Larry Lawrence

Larry is the Training Director for Sheet Metal Workers’ Local #9 and is employed at the Colorado Sheet Metal Workers’ Training Institute. Larry has been an instructor at the Loveland, Denver and Colorado Springs school since 1996 and was appointed as a Training Coordinator in November of 2002. Larry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor Education and Labor Studies from the National Labor College in June of 2003. In January of 2005 Larry was made the Statewide Training Director for the SMW Local #9 training centers. Larry currently serves as the Chairman of the Colorado Building and Trades Training Directors Association - a position he has held since December of 2002. Larry served his apprenticeship at the Denver training facility starting in August of 1991 and completed in June of 1995.

Larry Lawrence also works for the International Training Institute as an Accreditation assessor and curriculum review board member for the Sheet Metal Workers’ International.

Prior to becoming a sheet metal worker, Larry Lawrence attended high school in Fort Collins, CO. After graduation he entered the military as a boiler technician where he received the NAVY achievement medal for performance above the call of duty.

Larry has a wife and four daughters and resides in Wellington, CO. He is an avid volleyball player and enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
