Dwayne Stephens
Dwayne is in his fourth 3-year-term as Business Manager for Sheet Metal Workers' Local #9 and is responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the Local Union. He has been elected to the S.M.W.I.A. General Executive Council and is currently the Eighth General Vice-President. Dwayne is the President of the Colorado AFL-CIO, is a member of the Statewide Joint Apprentice Training Committee (J.A.T.C.), a Labor Management Committee member, and the Chairman of all the Trust Fund Committees with Local #9 (Health Fund, Pension Fund) and a Trustee on the National Supplemental Savings Plan (401K). He has also been appointed to the Tri-County Work Force Investment Board by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners and has been appointed to be an International Scholarship Fund Trustee by Sheet Metal Workers' International Association General President Michael Sullivan. Dwayne entered the Sheet Metal Workers' Local #9 Apprenticeship Program in the fall of 1981 and turned out as a journeyman in May of 1985.
