Mark Watson

Mark Watson of Climate Engineers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is co-chairman of the SMACNA/SMWIA Best Practices Market Expansion Committee and has filled that role since 2002. He is also the IFUS Liaison for the Budget and Finance Committee and a member of the Convention Committee.

A member of SMACNA’s Board of Directors from 1995 to 1999, Mr. Watson also served as SMACNA president from 2004 to 2005. He was a management alternate on the Sheet Metal Industry Labor Management Cooperation Fund from 2003 to 2005.

A past president of the Sheet Metal Contractors of Iowa – Cedar Rapids, Mr. Watson was a trustee on the chapter’s Health and Welfare Fund and Pension Fund and a past member of the chapter’s Bargaining Committee.

Mr. Watson began his career in the sheet metal industry as a project manager in 1975. He currently serves as secretary/treasurer of Climate Engineers Inc., his family-owned business with more than $32 million in annual sales. The firm operates two full-service HVAC and mechanical contracting shops in Cedar Rapids and Rock Island, Illinois.
