What is the Strive to Succeed Challenge?
Partners in Progress is launching the Strive to Succeed Challenge in advance of the 2020 Partners in Progress Conference. Each local area completes a simple set of tasks before, during, and after the conference. Areas can earn up to $3000 for use towards future marketing. This exciting new initiative challenges local SMART unions and SMACNA chapters and contractors to build a collaborative labor-management relationship.

How does it work?
The Challenge is a friendly competition between all local areas. Each area completes small simple sets of predetermined tasks in phases. These simple, low intensity tasks are completed by local SMART unions in conjunction with SMACNA chapters and contractors.  Each area will be recognized along the way as they complete the tasks.

A grand total of up to $3000 is available for use towards marketing in your local area upon successful completion of the  Challenge. Partners in Progress will maintain a leaderboard that shows how each area is progressing through each stage. Participating areas will be featured and participants will be recognized for their contributions.

The Strive to Succeed Challenge is divided into 2 distinct phases:

  • Phase 1 consists of four segments of easy-to-complete tasks. Areas that complete the first phase of the Challenge will receive $1,000 to use towards future marketing in their local area.
  • Phase 2 requires each area to develop the goals they started in the first phase and create a longer-term action plan. Local areas will only be required to complete a single task and provide proof of completion to Partners in Progress to receive an additional $2,000 to use towards future marketing in their local area.
